I’On is nice, but it’s in a random neighborhood in Mt. Pleasant.  It’s really just your basic neighborhood/country club type venue; there isn’t anything really “Charleston-y” about it.  But if you don’t really care about your wedding giving off a specific Charleston vibe, this place is great!  I went to College of Charleston, and one of my sorority formals was here, and it was a very pretty venue.

As for Lowndes Grove, it’s a very beautiful venue.  It’s on the river, and is on the Charleston peninsula, and it’s a little ways away from the downtown area so it’s a more private/personal venue than ones in the immediate downtown setting.  I’ve only been there once, but if I recall correctly, there are some trees with spanish moss hanging down (details like that just make it, you know?)  The only thing I’ve heard about it is the F&B minimum is a little high for some brides, and they only deal with one caterer (Fish Restaurant)…but the food at Fish is supposed to be wonderful.

I don’t know much about the Legare Waring House, but I also have a fear of having a wedding/reception outdoors and the possibility of rain. Scary!

Hope I helped even a tiny bit! Good luck!:)
