Inspired by the Bee charms that have been passed around on here for bouquets, I have been looking into getting a few charms for my own flowers.
I am thinking of getting a tiny dog bone, since our furbaby cant be there on our big day, a tiny gymnast (since I did gymnastics for a long time and some teammates/coaches will be there) and a shoe to represent FI’s mom, who passed away 2 years ago. I am thinking a tiny cluster on the ribbon would be adorable! I really want it to represent ME! The best part is they are only a few dollars!
Have any of you done this? What charms did you put on your bouquets or would like to put on it?

That’s so cute, and really sentimental – I love it! I’m not doing charms, but I am wrapping my grandfather’s rosary around my bouquet, since he passed when I was a lot younger and won’t be there for my wedding.

That is sweet and will be a nice personal touch on your bouquet. I have a little angel pin with my daughter’s birthstone that I will be pinning on my bouquet in her memory and one of FI’s grandmas pin to remember her as well. Only the two of us know that I’m doing this so it will be a special moment when we show my mom and dad what we did for my daughter and his mom and dad what we did for his grandma.

@abbie017: and @couawilou: What lovely ways to keep those that you love so close to you on you wedding day! I’m sure your families will appreciate it and I imagine it will be a comfort, as well, when you go down the asile. I love small details like this, they are so personal.

I’m doing something similar. My grandfather passed away a couple of years ago and I always thought he would be the one to walk me down the aisle. Instead, my mom is loaning me his memorial badge (he was a deputy sheriff) which is pretty small and I’m pinning that to my bouquet.

Actually I made one of these for my best friend when she got married last year! I got a cool jewelry piece that had a few loops for danglys, it had a nice design and some blue stones, then I hung each of their initials and a little dog charm to it and se used some blue ribbon to wrap around the bouquet. it was her something blue, she LOVED It and it turned out really great. It was also really cheap and easy to make 🙂

Im having a picture of my grandparents, grandfather, FI’s grandmother and his father (who just passed away in October) on the charms. I think its a lovely way to honor those who are no longer with us.
