tommywantwingy :  Sorry, definitely no ovulation.  7mos is quite awhile to be off the pill and still have these types of issue so I would get ahold of your doc

Yes, definitely get into a doctor. When I came off the pill, I was going on 6 or 7 months and still hadn’t gotten my period and was not ovulating. Dr. said it was a good thing I finally came in, turns out my body was trying really hard but my follicles just couldn’t break open to release the egg. Had tons of cysts, explains the pain lol. My hormones were all out of whack and I blame the pill..I got right back on track after seeing my Dr. !

tommywantwingy :  it’s true a lot of OBs won’t do much until you’ve been trying for a year.  7mos is pretty long for still regulating although I suppose it happens for some women.  I would have assumed this is your “normal” by this point.  If you don’t want to push for one sooner, definitely schedule one at the 1 year mark!  That way it is on the calendar.

No O yet unfortunately. I second following up with an OB, hopefully one that doesn’t laugh at you and cancel on you last minute. I know you said you don’t think you have cysts because you’re not experiencing pain but that doesn’t matter. I have polycystic ovaries and the only reason I knew to get checked out was because my BBT was all over the place like yours and I would have really long cycles. Best of luck!!

tommywantwingy :  so you only need 2 out of the 3 criteria to be diagnosed with PCOS.

1- long and/or irregular cycles, physical symptoms such as cystic acne, weight gain, facial hair growth (you don’t need to have all of these)

2- hormone irregularities detected by bloodwork

3-  7 or more follicles on a single ovary noted during a transvaginal ultrasound

2 and 3 can be dependent on where you’re at in your cycle. What kind of pelvic exam did you have?? These cysts can be really small so there would be no way for a gynaecologist to feel them during a regular pelvic exam.

It doesn’t look like you ovulated. Spotting is pretty normal if it happens right before your period or at ovulation. (From what I read in Taking Charge of your Fertility) I’m still having post-bc problems, too. 🙁

tommywantwingy :  hopefully you don’t have 2 or 3 and your cycles are still regulating! Let us know what you find out. Also, hopefully the spotting is the start of a new cycle ❤️
