*sends hugs* It know it's discouraging to have so many days of dropping temps, but it definitely looks like you're in for a big ovulation spike any day now! Hope you've been getting it on with your hubby! ;) Can you post last month's chart for us? That might help us get a better feel for what might be going on.
Yes this was last month's chart. It looked so text book that seeing this months chart makes me worried. In fact this month it has been so crazy that my fancy Sofia Petit thermometer and fertility friend were intially saying I have ovulated on the 9th. Since I am new at this I am just kind of worried..
@babybunny: I agree! You haven't had EWCM yet, so you may just be in for a late ovulation. I bet you'll see it spike soon.
I only ovulate every other month (from my right side, not my left ovary) because I have pretty severe PCOS, but if you have no symptoms I don't think you should jump to being anovulatory.
Are you just coming off birth control? Sometimes the first cycle can be picture perfect and then your body adjusts to being without it and you get long cycles with late ovulations. Just a thought!
Hang tight and keep BD-ing!, I bet it's coming soon!
Thank you ladies. Last month was my first month without birth control. I figured that month would be the crazy one but it seemed pretty normal, minus insane PMS symptoms. Now things just seem late and unpredictable. I appreciate your feedback.
And of course my hubby is on work travel this week. We figured I would have been past it by now but sadly am not. Kinda bummed. So everyday I wake up without a spiked temp is less of a chance for this month.
This is only my first month charting, but my chart was really sporatic as well. It varied by several tenths of a degree every single day.Like you, I was really worried I was not going to O. However, I wound up ovulating on CD17. Like other people say, hopefully soon you will get your spike, but I definitely don't think your chart means you are out of the game!
It's defintely anvovulatory right now. Every now and then, I will get a chart like that. I've been charting since 2005.
My best charts are always the one after the pill and then my body goes nutty for a bit and comes around again on cycle 3 or 4. I find that a vitamin B complex helps a lot!
I wouldn't worry. I have delayed ovulation many months and not only did I get pregnant but my pre-o temps were not always picture perfect. What matters is that you eventually get a sustained spike before getting your period. If you were to get your period tomorrow, that'd be an anovulatory cycle. But right now it just looks like your temps may be lowering as your body prepares to ovulate, which is normal. And you clearly ovulated last month, so that's a good sign.
I would agree that you're likely going to O any day now, don't get discouraged. Your cycles are probably still leveling out after coming off the pill. Keep us posted, but I'd be willing to bet you get your spike tomorrow or the next day :)
Thank you ladies. I guess my hubby and I felt we had planned it out just perfect before he went on his business trip but things don't always work as planned. I am hopeful that it comes tomorrow morning to give us some chance of conceiving this month.
I know it is hard not to worry, but because you are so recently post-pill, it is totally normal to have some wacky cycles. They could sort themselves out right away or it could take a few months.
It looks like your body may be getting ready to ovulate any day now, but it is hard to know.
You haven't had any dietary changes recently, have you?
Good luck & keep up posted!
@miss.skinner: After I went off birth control, the first month was just like I had been on the pill - my period came exactly the same day I would have started the sugar pill. Then my body changed, the next month it came two days late, and the month after, it came three days early. It takes awhile to straighten everything out.
according to your chart it does appear you will ovulate soon. I know it's confusing but it gets easier!!
Let's spin your thoughts around... a delayed 'O' might just give your hubby a chance to get back into town and actually UP your chance this month :)
My chart is all over the place too - it can be frustrating... but you can also be thankful you are charting and do have some clue of what's happening. Sometimes the temps only make sense when you look back on a completed month. Then it clicks that it really does look 'normal' afterall.
@jilian--Thank you for the positive message. I guess at this point that is kind of what I am hoping for. But can you still have a normal ovulation at day 23? That seems really late to me.
@bunny: So ladies I am currently on day 24 and no temp. spike yet. I have kind of been avoiding updating you guys since I didn't really like the news I was giving you. This is so frustrating. I am a teacher and there is a perfect time to get pregnant. We are really trying for May but goodness. My body is just not cooperating. I am trying to keep my head up and just have fun with the process but I hate waking up each morning and not seeing that it hasn't spiked yet. So here is the lovely updated chart.

For your coverline, I know in TCOYF, it only uses the last few days (4) for your coverline, so all that craziness at the beginning shouldn't affect the CL. Are you getting any eggwhite? Are you on vitamin B (or prenatals?)
Have a crazy long cycle like that is so hard. It will come around, coming off the pills can be frustrating. Are you getting more fertile cervical fluid, so that's hopeful. Keep BD'ing, I have a feeling that you won't realize it has happened until it is already rising.
@MapleBecky: I am on prenatals and the fish oil pills. My CM is not EW but honestly I think I am the precentage of people that doesn't get it. Mine is W and more of it. The one good thing is since everday could be O day my hubby is enjoying the perks.
haha! I bet he does. Some people will use mucinex to thin their cervical fluid to make it more fertile-like if they are worried.
I bet that once your body adjusts to being off the pill, you'll see the eggwhite fluid.
I doesn't really matter when you 'O' as long as you do :) When I conceived Warren I ovulated at least a week late (day 21) if not later. I'd have to go back and look at my chart for sure.
Good luck!
Thank you ladies so much. I finally ovulated and according to my chart it was Sunday. I was expecting some big spike in temp but it was just a small one. Either way I am 3 days past o. Fingers crossed in the 2ww. You will find me on the latest 2ww post for updates.

Okay so this is my 2nd month charting and my 1st month TTC. Last month my chart looked perfect. 28 day cycle with ovulation on day 16. Now it is all over the place with ups and downs. I am worried that I am not even ovulating or something. Can't make sense of it at all? The past 5 days I have been waking up hoping for the temp to spike and it just keeps getting lower. Needing some bee love.
