I did until 26 days after I got my BFP…. Really only stopped because we bought a house & moved I. And I couldn’t find my thermometer. That’s not really helpful I guess? Once I found it again I figured there was nothing my chart could tell me that just listening to my body wouldn’t tell me already so I didn’t start temping again.

Lots of love to you and baby rugbee!! Xox

I voted no.  I only temped 3 days after my BFP and I found that in that short time, it caused me more stress.  I was afraid that I would over analyze every little dip and constantly be in fear something was wrong.  Like you, I’ve had a prior loss.  Mine was a missed MC, so even temping, I would have never known anything was wrong.

can’t wait until you get your betas so you can join the Jan boards!  🙂

I think if you keep temping its just going to drive you insane everyday and make you analize every different temp you get.  I suggest you put it away and stay positive that this IS your rainbow baby and things will be different this time around….I am always here rooting for you 🙂 !

We’re continuing to temp and keep our charts. It’s data that I would like to have on hand just in case anything unusual happens. It may or may not turn out to be relevant, but if we don’t track it, we won’t have the opportunity to even look, whereas if we do, we will.

I’ve also found it helpful because I’ve had a tiny bit of spotting from time to time, and the charting has allowed me to see that every time it happens, it’s been a day or two after having intercourse. Super helpful for keeping me calm about it.

I say given your last cycle with your miscarriage, it is best to stop temping.  You will only worry yourself over every little dip and spike and you just need to focus on getting enough rest and not stressing!

I voted Just til you get your betas, but i think i might change to Stopping. If your temp DID dip last time, i’d say yes, but maybe its better to let it go?  Betas are monday right? So whats one more weekend anyway??  🙂

I stopped temping the day of my BFP. I just thought it would make me a little more neurotic with checking each day and wondering if every little dip was a bad sign. I also wanted to start enjoying sleeping past 6am uninterrupted 🙂 I voted no, like you said, sadly with your last MC it didn’t give you much insight into what was happening so I think just enjoying each day without the trusty thermometer would be my vote 🙂

We are all rooting for you and a sticky sticky baby!!

No! We’ve all become stick addicts, whether we’re peeing on them or sticking the beeping ones in our mouths! And think about it this way: you can sleep in!

I tempted for a few days after my bfp…and sometimes my temp would dip and it would cause me to freak out.  Eventually I had to stop because it was getting a little crazy!

I also used up all of my internet cheapie pregnancy tests, I wanted to see that line get darker…and it sure did!

I don’t temp or poas anymore, its very liberating LOL

I temped two weeks after BFP. For one I was addicted to knowing my temp and two it gave me comfort seeing the high temps!! It’s been nice not temping though 🙂

@MrsRugbee:  For your particular situation, it won’t help you to continue, so why do it? I quit temping for the most part after getting my betas back, but still do it occasionally here and there if the mood strikes. It gave me reassurance for a while, and also let me keep to my schedule – which was weirdly comforting. But I’ve decided to mostly let it go, and I’ve resolved to stop completely after our first scan at 9w4d. You should only continue if it brings you comfort, it not – hide the therm!
