Are you taking your temp at the exact same time every day?
Are you sleeping ok?
I find if I'm not sleeping well my chart is useless. I had a string of days last month where I was waking up at 4 a.m. and FF decided that I ovulated then (I knew I ovulated earlier) because I had spikes then as well.
However, reading your mucous signs, FF is probably going by them. If you got wet, most likely that's the fertile mucous. If it can't read your temp signs, it will fall back to mucous.
@MissMaryMc- I don't sleep through the night ever. I get up about 2x during the night (I have a medical condition and I can't take the medication due to the birth defects it causes). I do take it at the same time every monring, which is when I get up for the day. I had been advised to just do my best and not to take it when I wake up in the middle of the night.
That's probably what it is then. You wouldn't think waking up for an hour or so would have a huge effect, but it totally threw me off last month!
Maybe try to rely on the mucous signs. Or check your cervix if you're comfortable with that.
If you start noticing that you always have fertile mucous around day 20, pay close attention to your body around that time of the month. When I knew when to expect to ovulate I realized it was very apparent when I was. I hadn't noticed the pain in the past (probably thought it was gas or a pulled muscle) but now that I know it's coming I can feel it.
@MissMaryMC- This is why I want to cry! I no longer have the majority of my cervix so I can't check that. Temps don't work, and I don't have a regular cycle.
As long as you're religious about paying attention to your mucous signs you should be fine. That's why charting has multiple back ups!
I know girls that have done either mucous only or temp only and have found charting to be super reliable!
I'm on medication that affects my mucous, so I'm pretty much relying on temps only (which freaks me out when I can't sleep through the night!)
You should be fine!
The FF formula with temping is pretty straightforward... it calls ovulation the day before your temp stays up for 3 consecutive days. It's possible that you missed the hormone surge with the OPK. Sometimes the surge itself can be pretty brief and hard to pin down. Also, like MissMaryMC is saying, lots of things can jack with your temperature and make it less reliable.
All things considered, based solely on that chart, I might argue it one day in the other direction, but I think FF is either dead on or very nearly dead on. But since it's your first cycle, it might just be best to see how the rest plays out. That way next cycle you'll have a better idea of how your body behaves and what falls within the normal range for you personally. I know that's a poopy answer, but it's the best I've got.
Are you trying to conceive or trying not to conceive?
I'd make the fetility window bigger or smaller depending on your situation.
FF is usually a day or two off for me (based on charting through couple to couple league's methods). But I haven't had a chart that was drastically off. Even when my temp respiked because of not sleeping it was only by 2-3 days.
@roxy821: I know this answer is SO frustrating and I hate it but....I think a lot of it will depend on what happens with your temp tomorrow. It looks like for the earlier part of your cycle your temp kind of went up and then back down. If it goes up again tomorrow I think that I'd be a little more inclined to think that you actually did O. When do you take your OPKs?
I'm going to have to agree with Elley. If your temp stays up tomorrow, I think you probably did O.
@MissMaryMC- Thanks for all of the advice. We are TTC and since my cycles are all over the place we started charting this month. It's frustrating trying to figure out what my body is doing when and why.
@lox- We didn't think I was ovualting so I just would be very happy if I did indeed, even though DH wasn't feeling good those couple of days so we didn't BD.
@RunningElley- I test evert day at 5:30. I stop drinking at about 2:00 and hold it until I get home from work. I know I just have to be patient, I am usually a very patient person but this TTC is making me not so patient :(
@roxy821: Are you still taking OPKs? I know that you can get random EWCM sometimes but whenever I have it we BD just in case..even if it's in a completely random stage of my cycle, just to be sure :) I totally get the impatience...I'm an impatient person usually so TTC pushes me right over into insane!
@RunningElley- I have a couple more left this month. Should I continue to take them through my cycle?
@roxy821: I'd take one today just to check since you have the EWCM. Or until you're sure that the O date is right. I buy the cheap ones so I take one whenever I'm feeling unsure.
Check all of your setting on FF. If you want it to go off of CM which it is doing, then it's fine the way it is. But if you want it to go off temps first, it's not doing that.
I agree with posters above though that if your sleep pattern is not allowing you to temp then CM might be a better way for you to keep track.

Is FF usually right? Has it ever said you ovulated when you really did not?
I did OPK's every day and never got a positive and this is my first cycle charting so I don't think I saw a temperature spike, but FF says I possibly ovulated on CD 24. What do you think?
