Target has a wedding line with bridesmaid dresses running about $60 (or less!!)... The only thing, it's online only. But they've got some really cute stuff!
You may want to consider going the non-traditional route of the major department stores for BM's dresses...my girls wore BCBG Maxazaria dresses for my wedding and they were HOT! They have sales on their dresses occassionally and the one that they got retailed for $300, but we got them on sale for $150....I'm not sure if that's over your budget.
We got Impressions dresses (styles 1590 and 1592) in a tafetta-like irridescent material. They were $140 in the bridal salons and only $80 on netbride. They look great on!!! Flattering for all body types.
oh...you may also want to try www.camillelavie.com
They have a few locations nationwide, but you can order online and they have a few classic styles and many color choices! Good luck!
I got my girls' dresses fron David's Bridal, sale section, on line. They were originally $150 and I got them for $59. They were beautifully boxed and packaged and arrived in about 7-10 days. Only one of them needs to be altered slightly, which David's Bridal will do for about $20.
I would check out Ann Taylor Celebrations collection- we found some great cocktail dresses that my BM's love- and they ended up going on sale, and they were nearly 75% off!
You might want to go and check out nordstrom.com. They have a wide selection of dresses to choose from. I got my bridesmaid dresses for $35/each!
nordstroms.com is good! that's where i got mine and they have good deals when there's sales. also, check out jcrew's site they have cute dresses too that go on sale all the time!
not sure what the budget is but these are cute and if you didnt want matchy matchy you could go for a more coordinated look here: http://www.lynnlugobridal.com/

Jasmine B2 dresses are reasonable, although I wouldn't say they are cheap. Good quality though.
I am totally in the same boat! Try...macys.com, they have a lot of sales. I also love anthropologie dresses, but not exactly inexpensive. I have also contemplated an Old Navy dress! But decided it just wasn't formal enought.
Good luck!

I'm sure there's been plenty of posts about this but I have to run to work right now.
I'm going dress shopping with the girls this weekend. I am letting them pick their own style but I will be picking the designer and color.... But I want to find an affordable designer.
I was leaning toward Bill Levkoff but the more I look at them, the more i realize the dresses don't even look good on the models, how will they look on my BMs????
Any suggestions for an affordable BM dress designer that looks good?????
Oh and I already told them about houseofbrides and netbride to save $.
