@feircefairy: It might be helpful if you gave more information about where the wedding is going to be (i.e. city) and posted in that location's board.
As for general ideas, you could look into community centers, public parks, or maybe your local church if they also have a reception room.
I would look outside the box of a "reception hall". I would look for a place where you can do the ceremony and reception in the same space. Maybe look at your area's parks and pavilions. We are getting married in a renovated historical property that is owned by the city's parks and rec department. We can bring in our own food/alcohol and it is very reasonably priced.

I am getting married June 16th 2012, and I have no places for a reception or ceremony yet. I am trying to find somewhere that is reasonably priced, and will possibly allow me to bring my own food and alcohol in. my whole budget is about $5000.00 for everything.. anyone that can help?
