We are having about fifty people for the reception. Everyone will have a mason jar at their seat to fill with lemonade, arnold palmer, or sangria. We are also have wine, which we have wine glasses for – I was just thinking of leaving them by the table with the wine so the tables don’t get too crowded. Now the family would like to do a champagne toast, but I can’t really see drinking champagne out of mason jars/wine glasses.
Any ideas where i can get 50 relatively cheap flutes?

check annes bridal bargains or invitations by dawn-they’re like $10 usually-Walmart or target should have them too in boxes of like 4 or something like that. Oriental trading company might sell them-I’m not sure. there are some you can get for yourself personalized- at http://www.personalizationmall.com for like $30/set at the cheapest.

Ikea or Bed, Bath & Beyond.

Crate and barrel outlet or world market? A resturant supply store would be amazing if you have one near you, guessing no though on that.

Do you have a National Wholesale Liquidator, a Homegoods or a Big Lots by you? I have purchased flutes from all of these places at insanely cheap prices (some plain, some fancy…all less than $1-2 per glass).

in all honesty we got awesome champagne flutes at the dollar store! they are surprisingly well made. we bought about 25 for my sister’s wedding last year. i know it sounds cheap, but i swear they were beautiful 🙂

+1 for the dollar store. I bought a whole bunch there and they look like any regular wine glass to me!

We have a Crate & Barrel Outlet in Berkeley, CA that’s great for picking up cheap-ish glassware that won’t break as quickly as the IKEA stuff. Maybe there’s one nearby?
