What about preowned wedding dresses? Or once wed? You could try to sell your Allure and whatever you get for it you could put buy another dress for around the same price????

THere are some reputable overseas dress services, but I think a lot on ebay may not be that great….

I’d never recommend the ‘copy’ sites. Usually turns out the price is too good to be true and that’s reflected in the material and workmanship. I think for a bridal gown it’s just too much to risk. If you do decide to go that route, be sure to review the company. If it was me I’d rather find a ‘real’ dress discounted as a sample or discontined collection or even preloved before I chose one of those sites. Have you any idea of what you’d like?

When things look too good to be true they typically are. You get what you pay for when it comes to materials and craftmanship- but I guess if you have your original dress as back up it’s low risk. You could always have your seamstress add some lace/fabric to cover more of your bewbs- they do stuff lIke that all the time.

ETA: those pics they show are not their actual work usually. they just steal it from the designers

Have you posted a photo of yourself wearing the Allure? I’m sure the Bees would give you constructive feedback before you decide against it…

Your dress is gorgeous, I bought a dress from Ebay and it’s ok, not even close to the same quality of lace in the picture of craftsmanship and even though it was supposed to be custom, it clearly wasn’t, I think they basically has different size tops and bottoms and so together what’s close to your measurements. I don’t hate the dress and for what I paid, it was a good deal, but you need to understand the simpler the style the better it comes out with China suppliers. I later found a dress at a bridal store that was going out of business, it was a spring 2014, 1800.00 dress for 260.00. Look around, check out sample sales and stores that might be closing, it’s amazing what’s out there. Good Luck.

PS excuse the typos, my iPad hates me and I think the bust needs to be altered a bit.

Jenlmcg: your dress is beautiful! Why not consider a really simple dress for dancing? Than you can wear your beautiful gown most of the night and a simpler dress just to party in???

Jenlmcg: You look gorgeous in this gown. If your only concern is related to the bustline have you spoken with a seamstress to see what options you may have to make you feel more secure?
