I always recommend people check out bookit.com and cheapcaribbean.com. It’s probably too early to book something from those sites, but you can at least get an idea of what pricing might be.

It depends on what you want to do…FH and I are going to camp for a portion of our trip, mostly because we love to do it, but it helps that it will also be a bit cheaper than staying in a hotel for our entire stay. We are going to do a couple of nights at a hotel in MA so we can visit Boston and the Cape… but then we’re heading to Maine for a few nights of camping. I estimate that we’ll be spending about $500 on our trip (excluding gas, since we’ve factored that into wedding expenses). We also already own all of our camping equipment and will be borrowing anything we don’t already have (like a canopy).

I think the biggest cost for a honeymoon is the flight (especially with all the fees they charge now) so if you can go somewhere in driving distance, that may allow you to do more.

Maybe y’all could have a mini-moon and then save for a while and have a “real” honeymoon in like 6 months or a year. Where are you from? I’m in San Antonio and if we were going to do a mini moon, we’d probably either get a hotel downtown and act all tourist-like at the riverwalk and alamo, or we’d drive up to Austin. I think that camping can be a lot of fun (if you like it) and cheap.
