Queso dip: mexi-velveeta, cream of mushroom soup (trust me), and hormel chili-no beans. Crock pot & stir occasionally.
Mini-quiche, taquitos, spanikopita: these should be in the freezer section, just bake & serve
Hummus & veggies, fruit & cheese tray
Pasta salad (pasta is super cheap & failry filling)
Oh, and every time we have people over, I get these amazing cupcakes from a local bakery.
Deviled eggs are easy and always a hit.
You can also sautee up some veggies and meats and lay them out for make your own fahitas. We did those a few parties ago and they went over huge and was inexpensive. We just used inexpensive steaks and sliced them up real thin.
@MrsDibs: love shredded chicken sandwhiches! great for drinking haha and super easy to make in the crockpot
pigs in a blanket are always yummy!
meatballs - if there is a crockpot of meatballs i'll eat all of them haha
Meatballs in the crock (buy a pre-made bag, combine a can of cranberry sauce and a jar or two of Heinz chili sauce for a great, easy sweet and sour!)
Tortilla roll-up pinwheels (http://www.food.com/recipe/cranberry-feta-pinwheels-16213) or you can do a mexican version
Pulled pork in the crock with little slider buns
7 layer dip w/ chips

Alright bees I need some ideas, DH and I are having a small-ish (8-12 people) house warming party for our friends in a couple weeks and we're trying to get an idea for food. Basically people will be arriving over the dinner hour and staying the night so we want to have some decent food because there will be quite a bit of booze. Some ideas we've had were shredded chicken sandwiches, a mashed potato bar, or just an assortment of snack foods. We'd really like some ideas that can be munched on all night (I.E. we can keep it in the crockpot or it doesn't need to be warm). What are your go to party foods?
