We are making jam as favors for the wedding- I make it every year and give to people as gifts, so it seems appropriate. We’ll be doing blueberry and raspberry. If peaches are good next year, then that too. Anyway, I need jars in bulk! Roughly 200 or so 4oz jars, can be plain or have that diamond design. Need to be able to use the 2 piece lids so they will seal properly. Anyone find good deals?? Shipping tends to be the killer, so even if jars cost a little more but s&h is free, I will take it!
Also- looking for a better phrase besides “Spread the Love” that is all over Pinterst. Other thoughts?? I’m going to make the labels myself and tie with a color coordinating ribbon.

My parents and I always got our canning supplies at Fleet farm which was our local hardware store. I know my grocery store also stocks canning supplies. If you can source them locally you don’t have to pay shipping. If your grocery store does carry them, but doesn’t have the quantities that you need you can always talk to the manager about making a special order for you which would come on their regular truck and you wouldn’t have to pay shipping.

The best price I found locally was $8 for a dozen 4 oz jars. This was at Wegmans grocery store.
My jams are all done, and I didn’t use anything cutesy. Just our names, “thank you” and the flavor of jam. They look terrific though. I’ll post a pic after the wedding.

@MSbride2Bee: I saw them in huge crates recently at Big Lots and I remember thinking “WOW that’s cheap” but I don’t specifically remember how much they were now

@MSbride2Bee: You don’t mention your location, but if you’re southern, try putting an ad in the “wanted” section of Craigslist. Sometimes people down here have them in abundance and are willing to get rid of them cheap or even give them away. And it’s ok if they’re slightly mismatched- generally they’re so alike (with a few minor details) that people won’t notice they’re different as long as they’re the same size, especially if you add your own label and stuff. Also, check Hobby Lobby; occasionally the one down here has some mason jars in their glassware section and they’re always having 50% off sales.
