Where has everyone found is the most affordable place to buy bathroom basket items?
It’s nice tat I can use any items that the guests don’t need, but if possible I’d like to keep the cost down.
The Christmas Shop?
Something else I haven’t though of?

Dollar Tree is obviously the cheapest and you can probably find *some* name brands there (if that matters to you when it comes to tolietries), but I know they also carry a lot of off-brands. Otherwise I’d probably hit up somewhere like Walmart for inexpensive toiletries.

I think the best way to limit costs is to decide what you absolutely need. I’ve looked at lists of stuff to put in bathroom baskets and some of them are really long. For instance, do you really need Tums or Pepto Bismol if you’re not having spicy food? Most guests should know if they have a problem with heartburn with non-spicy food and act accordingly. You probably don’t need a lint roller, either. A little lint never hurt anyone. However, items like band-aids for cuts and safety pins for wardrobe malfunctions are god-sends for little mishaps. Look at the lists and be critical in your decisions.
That being said, I definitely suggest Dollar Tree for items like that. As a PP mentioned, sometimes they even carry name-brand items. Also check out the website minimus.biz, which specializes in travel necessities (I believe that’s the name)- you can buy travel-sized items for sometimes cheaper than $1, and I want to say shipping for orders $25 or over is free. They have everything from small food packets to individual medicine doses to toiletries, so it’s worth checking out!

Wal-Mart is always my go-to. They have brands, and they are cheap. However, I will say that I am incredibly jealous of the American Wal-Marts because they have WAY BETTER STUFF than the Canadian ones. Every time I go to the States, I go to Wal-Mart. How sad, but true 😛

We got all our bathroom basket stuff at different dolar stores like Dollar Tree, Deals, and if you have a Big Lots close to you they have great prices and will have name brands too. On the PP note about TUMS..YES, YES you do need it whether u ahave spicy food or not! People get upset stomachs for multiple reasons! I actually raided my own bathroom baskets at my wedding bc I had a stomach ache! We also had so so so many guests thank us for having things like lint rollers, mints, new combs, floss, perfume, etc… If you get it all at dollar stores it just be a very very minimal cost! Good luck!

Thanks everyone, I’ll probably hit up Dollar Tree after I raid my medicine cabinet. I recently bought some bandaids in bulk and don’t want to re-buy them just to have individual unopened boxes. I may just put a loose little tie around them or make a small box.
After that I’ll hit Walmart and/or The Christmas Tree
