Venue's wacky response to online review

@Kings7911:  lol amazing. We visited a venue that had about 500 5 star reviews online. The venue was horrifying – chain link fences, dirty, parking lot near ceremony site. I made an appointment to tour the place and when we arrived the guy looked like he just woke up from a nap to find we’d broken into his house. So I don’t trust reviews anymore, sadly

Yeah, I probably would not want to have my wedding there after reading that although the venue’s response was kinda funny. She must’ve been a doozy of a bride lol.

@Kings7911:  Ahahahah!! Wow… some people just dont know anything about customer service! Even if she WAS a bridezilla, you talk about it with your co-workers, or your family/friends discretly, not blast them on a public forum. Idiots!

That is hilarious. Either she was in fact really terrible and thus memorable- or that was their one and only client 🙂

You know, I would (likely) over look that bad review as it wasn’t detailed.  The responce is what would turn me off.

@Kings7911:  I’ve definitely heard that weddingwire is not to be trusted – vendors can have bad reviews removed. And some places are shameless and write their own glowing reviews. I would ask for references of real people who worked with them.

@Kings7911:  You know what?  If someone left a bad review for me THREE YEARS LATER, I would say the exact same thing.  Don’t let the vendor’s response turn you off to the venue.

@fancymichelle:  Um, pretty sure that a vendor that’s going to be that unprofessional on a public website, is going to be unprofessional to work with. It’s inexcusable.

I actually kind of love their response!  It gets so old that customers can badmouth things with impunity but that companies can never give their side of the story.  Too funny.

While pretty funny, it’s unprofessinal so it would turn me off.  I usually totally ignore those short CAPITAL over! punctuated! reviews!!!!  since I assume they’re just being dramatic.  But the venue responding to it totally just makes me think that they do suck.
