I like to keep it classic with the chair cushions. I'd prefer the ivory. Besides, it's hard to match all those reds together. Let the beautiful chair and your linens get the attention.
What an exquisite venue! I think you'd be fine with red OR ivory seat cushions, to tell you the truth. I believe that the darkness you're seeing in the red cushion picture is because EVERYTHING is red -- the chairs, the tablecloths, the napkins. Also, remember that most of the time and in most of your pictures, whatever cushion you have is going to be covered by someone's butt. :-)
I wouldn't do red napkins, because then you're stuck trying to match the red napkins to the red roses -- since they're on the same level, you might notice if there was any clash. You could go champagne tablecloth + bark-colored napkins (pull in the color of the dark woodwork in your hall) -- with white china, I'm assuming. You could also have an ivory tablecloth with champagne-colored napkins, which would make your roses pop even more.
I would leave the decorations simple colors and let the flower POP for you!
I voted Ivory/Champagne. You dont want too much matchy matchy.

Ok, bees, I need some advice! I'm trying to pin down both cushion colors for our chiavari chairs and linen colors for the reception tables. I am SO indecisive. (I bought THREE wedding dresses just to give you an idea.)
Here's what I'm working with so far. Here's the venue. Historic old courthouse with beautiful white marble everywhere.
My dress. Cream pearl Winnie Couture Kamilia.
Gold glitter aisle runner:
Red petal aisle border, something like this:
Tall red rose arrangements for ceremony/centerpieces something like this:
Bridal party/bouquets something like this:
So I'm going for lots of gold, champagne, rich reds, with candlelight with a tiny bit of chocolate. Venue will have soft amber uplighting.
My wedding planner thinks we should get the gold chiavari chairs with red cushions. She likes the idea of the color pop. However, I'm concerned that with the other pops of red it will be TOO red. We're having the red petal border, 6 red rose pomanders as aisle markers, 2 large red centerpieces in front, plus the red bouquets of me and my girls.
I'm kind of thinking an ivory cushion would be better, lighter, and I dunno, more -- bridal.
When I think about having the red cushions around the tables at the reception, the picture I pulled up below sure makes the room so dark.
Whereas this picture makes the room so much lighter. This is kind of my ideas for the tables, just in your head turn the flowers into red roses.
But I realize that basically my venue is a giant white space and maybe more color would be better? So what do you think? Red cushions or ivory cushions?
My second dilemmea is on linen choice. I'm pretty sure I want champagne tablecloths but with what color napkins? Ivory napkins? Latte napkins? Champagne napkins? Red napkins? Too many decisions! Again, I'm scared of too much red but don't want the space to look washed out either. Thoughts?
