I live in Northern VA, Washington DC area. I own a rental company and I am thinking about adding Chiavari Chairs to my inventory. Would you please give me your honest opion on what you think is a fair rental price, how many you would rent and what color. Thank you so much

queencg: We’re renting ours through the venue, and we chose gold (gold is one of my accent colors, anyway). I think we’re paying like $7.50/chair or something like that? Which is pretty comparable to what I’ve seen elsewhere. And we’re in Boston, so things are similar price-wise to DC.

queencg: Hi there! We looked into chairs, but decided to use the chairs that came with our venue… With that being said, there were large price variations when I looked into this ($7.50-$15.00/chair). Keep in mind when you’re pricing this, that some companies include unloading and placing the chairs as part of the rental. From a competition standpoint, when we were looking at venues that required chair rentals, nearly ALL of them pointed us to DaVinci rentals. Just a heads up as you may want to look into their pricing and service offering, as they are probably ones of the leaders for this type of rental in the area.
Looking at wedding trends, you may want to consider investing in gold chairs for now. That seems to be the hot accent color. I personally love the look of the black and white ones, but you may see more demand for the gold – especially with the blush or color trends coming in wedding dresses. There is definitely an uptick in the popularity for gold!

queencg: so there are lots of bites for gold chairs, but how long is that trend hoping to last? Anyone having gold as one of their colors can get that in other ways. Lots of brides won’t want hold so they won’t have an option. I would say go with a neutral color.
