I'm looking into chiavari chair rental (yes, never thought I would) - does anyone have any leads on inexpensive rentals for the Los Angeles area?

    TIA!

My venue came with chiavari chairs, so I didn't have to rent them, but I heard a lot of great things about Classic Party Rentals (http://culvercity.classicpartyrentals.com/products/chairs) and they have three locations in Los Angeles. :) Hope they're reasonable!

    Hi Ladies,

As a wedding planner I absolutely love Chivar chairs however they are not cheap. I would recommend getting a chair that is in between the regular folded wooden chair and Chivaris. There is other options out there. Good Luck and Happy planning

Oracle - try this place out.  They have chiavari chairs for $5...cheapest I've seen.  We're using this company for our chair cover and sashes bc we are not spending $1250 for chairs for our 250 guests ;-)

Hope it works out for you!

Just found out our venue doesn't allow us to switch out the chairs!  d'oh!  We can get them for the cocktail hour space, but I think I'm going to pass all the way around.

    Thanks everyone for your help!

THe price of chiavari chairs have come down drastically in the past year, they used to be $9-12 each and I just saw that they are around $5-6 each.  Try Signature Party Rentals and Classic Party Rentals.

Our family uses this company often.  If you pay cash they even give you a 5% discount.  Check them out.  Its a family owned business.  Reliable people and good prices.

Also try Dressmychair.com.  Don't forget to factor in delivery and pickup costs when comparing as well!  Good luck!

Yeah, we also used Juanita Naimo for linens/chairs. She's affordable and awesome to work with. PM me if you have any questions.

Can someone who has used Juanita's services for the Chiavari Chair rental tell me about the quality of the chairs?

I called another rental service who charges $6.00 per chair http://www.designerspecialtylinens.com/ and they claim they charge more because they have higher quality chairs than other rentals.

i agree with MJ20 and recommend ChiavariChairRental.com. the owner, steven, is very flexible: you don't need to commit to the quantity EVEN AFTER you sign the contract with him. there's no penalty if you end up needing less than what the contract states. also, you can negotiate prices with him. i was originally quoted $5.5/chair with $75 delivery/setup/pickup fee, but steven was willing to give me $5.25/chair with $50 fee.

i contacted Juanita before i contacted steven. i even made an appointment with her. but then she never responded to my emails or my voice messages left on her cell phone after teh appointment's made. i think it might be that she doesn't have enough chairs for my wedding date, so she chose to ignore my contacts rather than simply telling me about it, which i find very unprofessional.

I ended up going with Elegant Chiavari Chairs.  She was great!  She charged me $4.50 per chair which included delivery, set-up, tear down and tax with delivery to Malibu.  The cushion cleaning fee was $50 but she discounted it to $25.  Also, I originally needed 300 chairs and when I signed the contract she requires a 50% deposit.  She agreed to change my minimum chair requirement to 150 which is the # of chairs my deposit paid for.  3 months later my guest count has changed to 150 and she happily changed my contract to just 150 with up to 175 reserved for as needed.  She is fantastic!  There was one time when I emailed her a couple months ago and she didn't respond right away.  She was out of town.  But I emailed her again last night and she responded to my email with an updated contract this morning.  I definitely recommend her to other brides.

    Go with Sentimental Rentals!

They have been working with country clubs in Los Angeles and I've seen what they're capable of! They setup everything (pick up and drop off included), and you get beautiful chairs that will NOT be an embarrassment to your event. I almost went with another vendor but they tried to sell me on a cheap price for beat up, old, and scratched chairs. I'm so glad I found these enthusiastic guys who were willing to help with my event. The customer service you get is so personal, and they're so affordable. After all the quotes I got in Los Angeles and Orange County, they were the most affordable. They also provided me with brand new chairs to make sure that it complimented the theme.

I decided to go with the option to have chair sashes that matched our pool blue and yellow theme. Honestly, I thought I couldn't afford to have these beautiful chairs but they worked with me to make it happen.

    Check them out at SentimentalRentals.com

Ask for John, he's super helpful!!!
