Hi! Those chairs are totally fine - seriously. They blend in, they aren't obtrusive, and they save you dollars you can put towards something that people will notice, like your food, your dress, and your centerpieces.
Chivari chairs are nice if you have the money, but at the end of the day, they're only chairs. People put their butts on them. And really? The once people are seated for dinner, you won't even be able to see them! Stick with the ones the venue provides. You've got much more important things to be spending money on!
We didn't use Chivari chairs, but our venue's coordinator had some in his office that we would sit in during our meetings with him... and they were really wobbly and felt like they were going to break! We were surprised, as we know they are so popular.
Ok before I saw the pictures of your chairs I was going to say that venue chairs are usually horrible. However, YOUR chairs are actually fine. They are a more contemporary shape than those nasty rounded back chairs at most venues. I'd stick to these.
I think those chairs look pretty good! I'd use them.
Chiavaris are beautiful but never necessary. I think we see a disproportionate amount of pictures of weddings that use them - at the cost I can't image they are all that common.
They are fine - agree with the others that your bucks would be better spent elsewhere.
I agree that your chairs are actually pretty nice compared to many chairs provided by venues. If you really hate them you could do chair covers or rent plain white chairs, which would still be cheaper than Chiavari.
Thanks so much everyone!
I am planning to use them with these Elizabeth Cream linens from Hartmann Studios so hopefully that will be ok...
Those chairs are 1000 times better than the ones at our venue! And we can't afford to cover them! They have circular mauve backs...our color is RED!
They're fine! The only reason we're having Chiavari chairs is because our venue provides them, otherwise it would be whatever is cheapest!
I think your chairs are fine! I love chiavari chairs but they would be costing us extra and they weren't that important to us.
Well, they're a bit hard to see in the picture, but from what I can see I think they look fine. They match the decor, and they're by no means ugly.
And, uh, of course chivari chairs aren't necessary. Nothing is necessary at a wedding, except a couple of witnesses, a registered officiant, and two legally-binding lines.
I think they will work just fine. Besides, I have yet to notice a chair at a reception.

Hello ladies,
I am considering using the leather (beige with a bronze/copper-ish frame) chairs provided by our venue in order to save some $$$.
What do you think about them - are they hideous, cheap looking???
