I am not a big fan of chair covers though so maybe this is too subjective. I like the chivari chairs best. They are very classy and that is a great price for them!

It is totally up to you and the look you are going for.

Our venue provides Chaivari chairs in their fee. I was going to get sashes for them, but decided that we didn’t need the extra cost because Chaivari chairs are beautiful on their own. Sashes and chair covers look great for pictures but, in my opinion, aren’t worth the extra cost. I would rather spend that money elsewhere.

I am not a big fan of chair covers, so I voted for chivari chairs. I think they just look elegant and classic!

Like @afuturemrsl, I am not a fan of chair covers at all, so I’m not very objective here. I’d say to go with the Chiavari chairs with no sash – I think sashes are unnecessary.

But does your venue come with chairs and you’re just trying to upgrade? Unless they are BUTT-ASS UGLY, I’d suggest saving your money and just using them as-is. Nobody notices chairs except for the bride.

(Again, I’m not objective. I have very strong feelings about chairs in general).

I love chiavari chairs. if you go for them, I would not do a sash–they don’t need it.

BTW, that is a great price. The rental company I’m using charges $7 apiece for Chiavari chairs. I’m just using their regular white folding chairs, though.

I’m totally going against the grain here, but I say chair covers.

I, like everyone else, totally prefer the look of the chivaris over the chair covers, however, have you ever sat in a chivari chair? I have and I find them very uncomfortable (maybe I’m just like the Princess and the Pea and really picky about chair comfort?!). There are few things I hate more than being uncomfortable when I have to sit for a long period of time (especially because at weddings you’re usually sitting for a minimum of two hours during dinner).

The price on the chivari chairs is great though!

Just thought I’d bring another opinion to the table.

Woo Hoo! That’s great! It seems people are more willing to negotiate with the economy the way it is now

    Hi,

There’s a company that is very good.  I’m using them for my wedding next year.  They deliver to PA, NJ or NY.

    (908) 930-5948

They are running a special on Chiavari chairs for $5.  You can call them directly.

@Christy213: Hey Christy! I live in Peoria area and was wondering if you could tell me which company you are thinking about renting the chiavari chairs from? The cheapest I have found is American Rental for $6.00.  I think you should do chiavari chairs without a sache! Good luck on your upcoming wedding! 🙂

I love the chiavari chairs. I don’t like the chair covers. Plus, when men in particular have got their jackets on the back of a chair what’s the point in having covers?
