I’m new around here (and to wedding planning!), but I saw this wedding walk my hometown is doing. It’s free and all about supporting local businesses, which is awesome and something that is important to me. I just wanted to know if anyone has been to this one or one similar and if you thought it was worth it?
It’s in Libertyville, about 45 minutes out of the city.
Thanks in advance!

I went on one downtown and it was worth it to me, mainly for all of the discounts that were offered if you participated (and additional discounts/coupons were included in our enormous swag bags). I ended up using one of the florists from the walk, whose coupon enabled me to get a $250 bouquet for $50; for that alone it was worth it to me!

I think if you are interested in bridal events, it could be worth your time. I’m personally not, so I wound never attend. But, the list is pretty long of places you’d go see.

@SeaMonkey: I went to an event similar and didn’t really enjoy it. I think it was because they didn’t have many vendors available. You basically walk by tables and the vendors try to sell you on their business. These are good to go to if you are looking for vendors or new ideas. However, if it’s free and you have the time, why not right?
