This sounds fun! I voted, but the first weekend in October works best for me! Perhaps we should meet at a place where we can come/go as we please, like a Starbucks or Caribou Coffee?
I'm in Lincoln Park, but willing to go somewhere else in the city if need be.

I like those ideas. Somewhere casual and lowkey where we stake out an area for a couple hours sounds like just the ticket. I'll start looking for panera bread locations around the city that have ample (free) parking and wouldn't mind a bunch of bees swarming in. I'm open to suggestions of course!

Hi ladies! Just saw this thread... I think a meet-up is a great idea; a few of us did one a couple months ago and it was so much fun! Anyway I voted for the 8-9th or 15-16th... I will still be on my honeymoon for the first weekend of Oct and will be out of town at a work event on the 22-23rd. Keep me posted on what you decide!
@kettle:The Panera on Elston and Logan has a parking garage that they share with Xsport Fitness. However, it's not convenient for those without cars.
I'm interested!!!! I voted on the poll and like others, any Panera in the Chicagoland area is fine for me!

Just saw this, I'll be back from the Honeymoon by then, so any date in October is open at the moment. I would definitely try to make it to meet some gals and see what I could offer as a newly married (!!) bee.
I went with the first 2 weekends, as I didn't know if folks would be celebrating Sweetest Day which usually falls somewhere in there, and the other weekend is my birthday! But I can probably do any of the dates...
We're going to go with either Saturday Oct 8th or Sunday Oct 9th because those are the dates that work best for the most people. Also, we're going to go to the Panera on Elston and Logan that has a parking garage that they share with Xsport Fitness. Great suggestion MUI831
If you have any objections to either of those days or that location, voice them here!
I personally am having issues with the 8th because that's the only day I could get all 8 people who are <i>essential</i> to the tasting for the food for my reception, so I'd prefer the 9th around 2 pm.
I'd love to go, but unfortunately (slash fortunately) I'll be at a wedding in town on October 8th, and in Vegas on the 9th! I'll keep checking back in case the date changes, but if not, have fun bees!! The one we had a few months back was great!

@MrsStrawberry24: There was talk of a meet-up on 9/3, not 10/3. I'm not sure if they actually met though bc that discussion moved to facebook and I'm not on facebook, plus i had to work that weekend.
We're still planning on meeting that second weekend of October though, 10/8 or 10/9. At the Panera on Elston and Logan that has a parking garage that they share with Xsport Fitness. Still working on which day and what time.
I hope you guys plan another one soon! That's the only weekend in October I can't go :(
Hey Ladies- just checking in regarding the 10/8 or 9th meet up. Was a date or time decided yet? I am actually working from the Panera that was proposed today! The parking is great- plenty of free street parking AND there is a David's Bridal about 1 block away on Elston just in case y'all want to drop by there :)
The date has been set for the Chicago Bee Meet-up. Hopefully we can get a good number of both bloggers and readers there!

Yay, looks like we'll have some good numbers showing up! Somebody bring a laptop since Panera has wi-fi. I'm thinking we may need to do some wedding-related web surfing, you never know. And please don't be camera shy, we've got to have great pics for the post I'm gonna write after the meet!
Hi Ladies!
Does anyone want to arrive a little earily today? I'm going to be at the gym next door at noonish, so if anyone wants to show up at 2pm at Panera- I'll be there! :) I have to meet some people at 4p, so I won't be able to stay very long after the time we chose.
I'll be at church, so I won't be early, but I'll hopefully be there promptly at 3! I'm excited for this!
Oh my goodness! I totally FORGOT to come- I can't believe that I missed this meet up :( - I hope y'all had a blast!

Hi Bees! I'm trying to set-up a Bee meet for Chicago area brides (downstate IL, MN, WI and IN are certainly welcome if you wanna travel) on a weekend this fall. I'm going to set up a poll to see when people are available.
