@Boxerlover24:  No I haven’t even heard of the place. I got married at the Renaissance in Schaumburg. OMG, just gorgeous.

We were ***this*** close to booking that place.  I haven’t been to a wedding there but we loved the idea of it since we’re craft beer junkies and it’s a brewery (their beer is good by the way, and their food is supposed to be great).

The only reason we didn’t pick it is the location.  Our family is mostly in the west and south suburbs and have a lot of out of town people, so we wanted someplace that was pretty close to a hotel and it seemed like this venue would be a bit of a hike.  Also we needed a place to have the ceremony and they lacked a space that would fit our size group.

Other than those small issues, which might not even apply to you, it seems like a great venue.  The people there were super nice to work with when we were checking it out, and it’s really pretty.  The outdoor patio space and those views, drool worthy.  It’s really a great looking place.

Good luck!

@Boxerlover24:  OMG That was one of the places on the top of our list!  Absolutely stunning!  We didn’t go see it in person, because the F&B minimum was a little higher than we’d like, but I think it’s a great choice 🙂

We ended up going with Independence Grove in Libertyville, which had a smaller F&B minimum by switching it to a lunch reception.

ETA: almost date twin! 🙂

@Boxerlover24:  Thank you!  Good luck with the Onion Pub!  I hope you go with them, and take pictures! 🙂

Seriously – STUNNING!

We did go around to a few other places, and got quotes/pricing from OODLES of others.  IG blew me away by sending me almost ‘too much’ info!  lol they addressed about every possible combination of questions I could have with their initial info package.  It suited my type A personality.  😉
