I'd love to know this as well. I just get my flowers at Whole Foods, but you can't really go there with a specific flower in mind.
@lilyfaith: Exactly! I'd really just like more variety. WF and TJs are great, but they have a relatively small selection and can get picked over at times.
Miss Chapstick,
If I find anything while planning my wedding, I'll let you know. I plan to do my own flowers. Found the flower I want, but also had to find it online.
Miss Chapstick,
This isn't a wholesale shop, but my friend that just got married on a budget passed me the name of this woman who does floral designs from her house. My friend said she is really reasonable ($100 for bridal bouquet, $45 for bridesmaids-and that was with expensive flowers).
The name is Vale of Enna, you can find her on facebook also.
Don't know if this will help you, but I wanted to pass the name along. I will be contacting her soon to talk to her about some options.

Does anyone know of Chicago area flower markets or wholesale shops? I'm already married, but flowers have become a new hobby of mine, and I like to create arrangemernts for our home. BUT, the only place I end up finding them are the smaller floral shops where you have to order the blooms, or grocery stores like Whole Foods or Trader Joe's, which don't have a huge variety.
I've heard that Green City Market has some local growers, so I plan on checking them out when it gets warmer. But does anyone have any recommendations until then?
Thanks so much!
