I’m doing the non-matching bridesmaids dresses option. One of the guidelines is the fabric, which I’m having trouble picking. I was originally going to go with satin/silk since that seems to be the general recommendation for winter weddings. There are a few reasons I’m hesitant about silk/satin. I don’t really like the look of it with my lace dress, but, more importantly, some of my bridesmaids are a bit self-conscious with satin since it seems to be pretty unforgiving. I think they are beautiful, but if they don’t feel good then I rather them wear something else.
I really like chiffon but everyone seems to say that this is truly a spring/summer only fabric. Can I get away with chiffon if the dresses are floor-length, black and they are more on the evening/formal side?
Opinions are much appreciated!
