People have been asking for it for awhile, but weddingbee hasn’t budged. I agree, I would like to see a CBC board too. It would be nice to have a little place on weddingbee for us, especially since there are parenting boards (nothing wrong with that at all).

I’m not CBC but I think having a section for people who are would be great. It would allow CBC Bees to post about topics specific to being CBC and have the support that other boards provide. What does it take to get a board started? Is it just a choice the Mods have to make?

The support section is located in the upper left hand corner of the page:) I think you have to submit ideas there to have them considered.

I posted an idea here (I hope it’s okay to link to my post; if not let me know): here

PositiveThinking:  You will probably find that your poll will end up with more no’s than yes’s. Apparently a lot of people think that anything that a CBC’er goes through can be put into other sections (emotional, family, careers etc but don’t accidently post it on the parenting board or some bees will freak the shit out) unlike other life choices that get their own spaces but which could alos go under any of the boards already in exisitence.

PositiveThinking:  I don’t think it is the mods that get to decide on adding sections, more of an admin duty or maybe even beyond that position.

I would email (or go to the “support tab suggestions rather than make a post on the board. I don’t know how likely it would be for the people “in charge” to see this post and consider the suggestion. Maybe link to this thread to show that there is interest?

I love this idea.  My FI are CBC and all of our friends have kids…and we get a lot of “comments” that i take very offensive and would love an outlet to chat with people who understand. LOL

This has been brought up a bajillion times and for some reason WB never goes for it. I’d like to see one–there are 3 or 4 sections devoted to having kids (everything from TTC to parenting). It would be nice to have some acknowledgement that not everyone is choosing to have kids. I for one would like the option of discussing some of the stuff that comes along with that, just like I know people like being able to bounce pregnancy experiences and parenting Qs off one another. It’s not strictly wedding-related, but neither are a lot of the topics on the boards and I think that’s good. We are more than our weddings. (Especially when you are someone like me whose wedding was a year and a half ago…. 🙂 )

Windsong_:  I voted for yours, and had posted a similar idea. I also participated in a weddingbee forum and made the same suggestion. Fingers crossed…..

I really wish there were a special page for CBC. Now that I am married I have less of a reason to be on the planning boards (I’ll wander over to help with advice), and I’ll obviously post recaps when I get my photos, but when I click onto the boards I feel like I’m inundated by TTC posts and that’s really not something that interests me. I’d like to be able to have a separate section to go to where CBC people can talk freely. Like I’ve said on some other posts, I’m not definitively CBC, but am strongly leaning in that direction and having a section to talk to other estabilished CBC couples would really help.
