We are going to have around a dozen kids (ages 2-13) at our wedding, and i thrilled about having all that fun energy around. But i want to make sure they have fun and are entertained for the evening. We are having the wedding at a farm, and there will be a petting zoo, but i am trying to think what else.
What have you done to keep kids happy at weddings?

My uncle does magic for extra money and fun. I know he has been hired to do several weddings in the past to keep children busy and happy. Maybe magic could work for you (o:

A magician or face painter might be great. If your venue will let you, some outdoor games will work nicely as well (is there a place you could draw a hopscoth board? maybe horseshoes?). Our reception will be all indoors, and all of the kids at our wedding will be girls between ages 4-7, so the princess vibe will be heavy at our children’s activity table.

Kids love to dance right along with the adults. Most want to be doing the same things that the adults are. Otherwise they know how to entertain themselves.

I agree with the dancing, when we were kids that’s what my cousins and I always did! It sounds like the farm will provide plenty of entertainment itself as well.

I am going to make little bags for each kid with some little trinkets in it and have coloring books and crayons on the kid’s tables. Plus, we are having a photo booth so that will entertain them and they can dance!

I agree… the kids will have plenty to do with being around the adults and dancing, especially the older ones. The petting zoo I think would provide enough entertainment for the younger ones. I wouldn’t worry about planning anything else.
