My cousin’s baby shower is coming up next month, and while I already went a bit overboard buying gifts, I want to get a couple books as well (or they might turn into Christmas gifts)! She registered for a few like the Goodnight Moon, Green Eggs and Ham, and similar, but I’m looking for suggestions of other children’s books.
I realize the baby won’t use them right away, but I feel this is something that he can use for several years and appreciate/enjoy for a long time.
So, what are/were some of your favorites, or your children’s favorites?

I think books are great. Parents will still read them to their babies to get routines set. Sorry, I don’t know authors off the top of my head.

Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown
I read it all the time to my kindergartners. Nothing captures the power of a mothers love in such a pure and simple way.
I recommend any books by her.
