We’re having a hard time finding a decent location for a Chinese wedding reception in the Bay Area that has an open concept banquet hall. Places like Peone and East Ocean are set up in a way where some tables are behind a wall or so far away from the main area that they can’t see anything 🙁 We’re interested in something like Grand Palace in South San Francisco, but will fit more people. If anyone has any suggestions, please let us know. Thanks so much!

Did you look into at the new Tai Wu Restaurant in Millbrae? Parking is horrible, but the dinner menu is decent, and my mom won’t shut up about the place 😛 (I think she’s upset because our wedding will be 95% western-style, with the exception of the tea ceremony)

Thanks for the suggestion! 😀 I haven’t heard of this place actually so we’ll definitely check it out!

My sister got married at Dynasty, Cupertino. Their main hall is in the back so it feels separated from the front. Super pretty venue. [content moderated for violation of self-promo policy]

Wondering where you eventually did your wedding. Like lilmic4eva suggests, I’m considering Dynasty, and have asked them to hold my target date. I need to decide whether to move forward with it by end of week.

hammychu: We are having catering from Zen Peninsula, but I know they can have up to 36 tables of 10 in their restuarant. Good luck!
