YES! There's a more upscale "Chinese" restaurant in Midtown I came across while wedding planning. Let me see if I still have anything in my email....

This is the one I saw. It looks a lot better than your average Chinatown banquet hall.
@Gerbera: Hey, thanks for the response (I meant to say so earlier!) We actually went to check out S. Dynasty, which like you said, is really nice. However, it's too small for our party (300+ EEK!).

Hello ladies,
New to posting, but trust me I have scoured this entire board, so here's hoping you gals can lend a hand to another soon-to-be stressed bride-to-be :).
I'm looking to find a place to host a traditional Chinese wedding reception/banquet type event for 250~300. From all that I've searched and read, I've seen a lot of suggestions for restaurants, which is great. If I could have it my way though, I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE it if we could hold it at a Western-style venue that serves the traditional Chinese cuisine (8-10 dishes).
I've seen that the Sheraton in Flushing is one recommendation, do any of you know of any others? Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, all good for us.
Thanks in advance!
