My hubs is a jeweler, and he always replaces those little diamonds for free.  You should check with the jeweler who made the ring to see if they can replace it for free – or at least for cheaper! It’s also REALLY common to chip/loose those little tiny diamonds.

My biggest fear is that I’m going to chip my main diamond after slamming it into a wall one too many times. Is it one of your pave stones or a side diamond? I thought most jewelers replaced the pave ones for free up to a year.

@Happilyevaafter5:  My dad’s an insurance agent so he insured my ring basically the day my FI bought it. It’s only $60 a year and it just makes me feel better knowing I have that in case something would happen. I also bump my hand into every single wall, door or desk I’m around lol

That blows! Definitely get the ring insured. Wait to hear back from the original jeweler. You might get a deal from him/her vs. some random place. I busted my ring when I hit it into an x-ray table and my jeweler fixed it for free. Its insured in case it’s stolen/lost.

@Happilyevaafter5:  If you can, check your warranty under the original purchase place. My jeweler will replace any lost or chipped stones for life under their warranty.  In my town, there were only a couple jewelrs that offer that extensive of a warranty, which is why we purchased there. You may find that the place you purchased from offers this as well.
