Aw, that’s so sad! It shouldn’t be a pricy repair, but sad nonetheless! Any idea how it chipped?

@TheHoneyWajr:  oh, my.  did you accidently bang it?  is it under warranty?  even if it isn’t, it shouldn’t be too pricy to repair.

This is a black diamond? Black ones chip easily and more often due to their structure. They are more like thousands of tiny included diamonds smashed together, usually naturally. This structure means that it absorbs light instead. This is what gives it that “black” color. I am sorry that it happened but we do see lots of chipped or flaked black diamonds. They are neat though.

@Glenda_the_good_witch:  The center stone looks like a sapphire to me, but I could be wrong. The chipped diamond is one of the white halo diamonds.

Ah I see it now, it’s a white diamond. My mobile is odd today and fuzzy. Is it covered under warranty? It shouldn’t be too expensive if it isn’t. So so sorry.

@Glenda_the_good_witch:  The center is a sapphire. Its one of the translucent diamonds that is chipped.

@TheHoneyWajr:  So sorry you are going through this. I’m sure this will be an easy repair though.

That must be a very dark navy blue sapphire. It’s very dark.

Like I said, my mobile is fuzzy today. So I cannot see the blue, sorry for offending someone.

. I do know that naturals photograph darker.

I have that problem with one of the diamonds on my halo.  I have yet to get it repaired but my insurance should covwr it.  Do you have a policy?
