    @Trixsa:  I was a little bias when I voted bc we are having an ice cream sundae bar. I feel its very different and I have told a few people in my family about it and they all oo’ed and aahh’d bc they have never heard of it before.

    The chocalate foundtian never really wow’ed me, and I feel like not everyone likes chocalate, with the ice cream bar, everyone will have options!

    @Trixsa:  I vote sundae bar! I kind of find the chocolate fountains a little gross. Sometimes people’s fingers go in it… hair. It also seems to get everywhere. Love the ice cream bar… and with the ice cream bar if people WANT just the chocolate syrup covering… stuff, they can.

    You can put the fruit, cookies, biscotti, marshmallows, etc as toppings for the ice cream.

    Oh man, I LOVE chocolate fountains. But… I think I might love ice cream a little more.  I think the chocolate fountain is just a bit more logistically complicated for guests.  Do you get a whole plateful of stuff, dip it in the chocolate, then bring the plate back? Or do you have to stand by the chocolate fountain while you eat?  But with the ice cream, you can make your sundae and then go back to mingling.

    I voted fountain even though we’re doing ice cream bc it’s cheaper.

    I love both, but I think the practical application of the chocolate bar isn’t too easy.  People will crowd around it, and some people won’t get to it.  ice cream is so much easier to scoop, top, and leave.  Plus, ice cream is a lot less messy!

    I voted ice cream sundae as I feel fountains are over done, and they require a lot of oil to operate (and dont enjoy that much oil in my chocolate!) This is a personal opinion but maybe surverying close family/friends who are attending your wedding to see what more would like!!

    I voted ice cream because chocolate fountains are said to be pretty unhygienic (according to many bees, esp those with food service experience), and ice cream would be quite a bit easier and less messy, I imagine.

    @Trixsa:

    I want a chocolate fountain at my wedding but mainly for personal reasons lol.

    My dad has always wanted to go to Golden Corral just bc theres supposedly a giant chocolate fountain there (Ive never been and my dad is young at heart lol) but he seems to never be able to find the time to go.

    So im having a chocolate fountain at my wedding, just for my dad so he can eat all the chocolate covered strawberries he wants!

    I am worried about it getting messy with the drippings from the chocolate but I think we can find some way to fix that. Maybe dressing up a vinal table cloth to put around the bottom or something like that.
