Hiring professional photographers and videographers should be one of your top priorities on your weddings. Photographers will immortalize your momentous occasion. Photoshop is available but it’s only to be used for enhancing and not completely for tweaking. I learned hard and costly ways. Now, I’m sharing a lesson to you. Your photos and videos of your special moment will be reminders and will be the most remembered in your golden years. I deeply regret and sorely disappointed of my decision to hire them especially the outcome that we had received. Extreme lack of assertiveness, irritatingly tardy and absent planning are few of the qualities that were inherently present. I just had to let this out of my system. So, please be very careful and do research and have second thoughts. We were maybe the unlucky ones or a picky bunch but that shouldn’t be the case. It is unacceptable. Be wary of your choices. Your wedding is yours.

@daniecabrar: Welcome to the Bee boards!
I’m a bit confused about your post – who did you end up hiring? Bad professionals? Students? Just asked friends?
You can always post a few of your pictures to let us see – perhaps you’re just being overly critical on your own pictures because you are your own worst critic, right?
Sorry to hear that you’re unhappy with your pictures! I hope that your day was wonderful otherwise.

Thanks for sharing your experience, but a pro photographer is just not the right choice for some brides (like me). I don’t think it’s as essential as some people make it out to be.

We hired bad “professionals”. They have nice lenses and cameras. I’m unhappy of the content of the pictures and how they presented themselves. I have only one shot of my parents walking down the aisle and one of them has there eyes closed. Some were badly focused. Very few to no pictures of immediate families were taken. They were late so we were time restricted and we only had very limited places to shoot from. Everything was rushed. One member was just sitting idly or standing and smiling. They have our color motif and it did not show in the final video. I could go on. Now, I can see it. A lot of amateur framing and uninteresting shots.
Yes, the day was definitely wonderful.

@daniecabrar: I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience! Hopefully some of your guests caught moments and you can maybe get your money back because they were late?

Is that your wedding date? 20 years ago?
