….and i only have 2 bridesmaids so thought it would be easy! i think i made a mistake by giving them too much freedom at the beginning. i am paying for the dresses, but one of them wants short and the other long….
personally i feel long will look better (although i didn’t make this decision until today) we all went to look at dresses a few months ago but didnt really get anywhere, then today i went with one of them (the one who likes long dresses) and we narrowed it down to 2. they are both long and im worried that my other bridesmaid, will feel like we made the decision without her..
My FI is getting annoyed and says they are getting a free dress that they only have to wear for one day and should just do what makes me happy, but i want to make sure they are both comfortable and like what they wear..
any suggestions on how to go about this…. and also which of the 2 do you like better? my venue is a barn in the countryside and my dress is strapless lace, trumpet shape.

I can’t find the board at the moment, but another bee ordered the one strap dress you have posted. Its beautiful!
ETA: I was wrong, it wasn’t the exact dress, but it is very similar. Here is the link so you can see the pics

Definitely the one strap one! It looks gorgeous.

@brandybelle: thanks! yes it is very similar, its lovely. the other problem is that my other BM says she doesn’t like one-strap dresses! i’m hoping she’ll change her mind if she trys it on.

i like these one too, but they had no samples of them

I hate one strap dresses, they remind me of togas.

I think the shape of the strapless dress looks less flattering although it might just be the photo. It sort of looks like a bag dress!

@p2b: i know what you mean..and i do think the picture is particularly bad…but it is quite a loose fit… i think the other strapless ones might be better

I voted for the one strap because I don’t care for the cut of that strapless dress but the other one you posted may be a good option. As far as your BM, just tell her that you found a dress you really love that fits the look you are going for (your “bridal vision” if you will…yuck I hate that term) and you hope she is open to it since it is just one day! If you say it nicely and with a smile/positive attitude, I think she would have a hard time saying, “ew no I refuse to wear a free dress I don’t like for one day.”

@BlondeMissMolly: thanks for the help 🙂

I like the one strap one best; however, it’s not a style that is flattering on everyone. The strapless is safer.

I have 3 maids, one is VERY large chested and loves to have the girls hanging out and the other two , one is stick thin and other is hourglass. This is the dress they all love, i love the strap in the middle – hoping it will hide the #1’s cleavage ;P

I’m not usually a one-strap dress girl, but out of the two I prefer that one.

@springwed8: i recognise these dresses!! what i found with Dessy, is that the one shouldered dress looked great in photos…but not on my BMs. but it looks pretty in that photo. i really dont like the second one – its shapeless and not flattering
the ones you said you didnt have a samples of, look awesome in real life.Theyre actually my favourites in the whole collection. i was in LOVE with number 4…but my bridesmaids preferred number 3. strangely, the photo doesnt do it justice. it looks even better in real life
