Hi Ladies,

First of all, as a new ”bee” I must say, that I just LOVE this website!

I have a dilemma! I'm a native Chicagoan and my fiancé comes from an Indian background. We're planning a mixed wedding with both Christian and Hindu ceremonies. Indian weddings are super glamorous and the makeup is exotic. At the same time, I don't want to look over the top. I'm having a difficult time finding a makeup artist who is able to blend both and have been disappointed again and again. The one makeup artist I just came across and i'm really liking is Mehwish Khan (www.mehwishkhan.com). Does anyone have any experience with her? I’d love to get your thoughts before I book a trial.

It's so funny to see your post. I'm coordinating my best friend's wedding and we decided to use Mehwish Khan. My friend is Indian/Pakistani mixed – her husband is French Canadian but they’re planning a mostly Indian style wedding. She wants makeup with an elegant look and a slightly exotic touch. We had trials with a couple of Indian MUAs but definitely happy that MK was available. I’d suggest if she’s still available for your date that you book her – we did almost a year in advance!
