Has anyone seen those pink petal shoes? They are beautiful, but they hurt. Anyone ever see anything similar? Christian really isn't in my budget AT ALL, but those shoes spoke to me...they'd be a lot more than my dress!

These? Or the ones that are similar that have petals coming up the top of the foot? I actually did see something similar, but I can't remember where. I'll look around. Why do you say they hurt? Where? I only ask because all my CL are super comfy.

The petals were on top of the foot, but those are fabulous too! The ankle strap hurt me and my fiance is about two inches taller than me (maybe an inch and a half) and the four inch heels might look ridiculous.

    I love to dance!!! I can't wear 4 inch heals or I'd never make.   2 & 1/2" ideally for my heels. :)

I know the ones you're talking about and I've seen a cheaper version of them. I can't remember where I saw them now though.

My husband is 5'8" and when I wear 4/5 inch heels I'm almost his height. He thinks it's hilarious. Thank goodness. I just bought a pair of 5.5 inch platforms! We'll see if I can walk in them. Probably not, but they're soooo cute.

I'm not sure which ones you are talking about but if its comfort you want, find a pair of uber comfy shoes in the right color, and then add your own petals!  It would be a simple (ish) DIY that everyone would think was high fashion AND you'd be comfortable and not break the bank - what could be better!?

I know exactly which shoes you're talking about and they are to die for. I agree with mdarrah, you could totally do a DIY for these. My FI only has 2 inches on me and I'm wearing 3 inch heels (not too bad). 4 inches would kill my feet after an hour.

I've seen those to-die-for CL shoes!  I love them!  Are these it?  Also, I found a flat version of them (definite dancing shoes-- they look comfy)!

There is a pair from Nordstrom that I found by MaxStudio that are similar (more like ruffles than petals though).  But they're super cute too and WAY more affordable!  They come in beige, black, and plum.

I would love to DIY them, but I am totally lost on how. What materials would work? What would I use to glue the petals on? Silicon adhesive? How do I make everything the right color?

    Please help crafty ladies!

lisalulu...thank you! This shoe gives me shoe-gasims everytime I see it. I am glad to see I'm not the only lover of this shoe. 4" heels they look so good I'll accept the pain

Oh how I love those shoes... let me count the ways! Lisalulu - I completely understand - I SO fell in love with those shoes!

However, my bank account did not!

I actually bought some shoes for much, much less, and then I went to a specialty store here in St. Paul and she is customizing flower pins for my shoes.  I guarantee you she could do the same for you - or you could find someone close by too?

If you want to reach out to her, her website is www.chebella.com  She hand makes all the veils, flower pins, headbands, etc. in the store. And she's doing something special and custom for me based on what I want.
You should look for a simple t-strap sandal with the height you want and either try to make something yourself, or reach out to someone like her to do it for you.  You'll save lots and get something comfortable too.

    Good luck!

I know I've seen something like this on etsy.com.  I think there is someone on there that sells shoe clips that make existing shoes look like this.

Cool...shoe clips!  Will check Etsy for one.

There is a ruffley sandal or two by Nina I found yesterday after I found the "Design Your Own" evening shoes!

"Ulexa" is gorgeous...   http://ninashoes.richfx.com.edgesuite.net/image/media/ULEXA_GOLD-ROYAL-SATIN_front-large.jpg  no feathers but cute ruffles and the sexy heel.  89 bucks

Wow thanks for the tips! That DIY thing from love megan was awesome! I will check out the St. Paul designer too! These Bees are the best.

I saw the Sex and the City Episode. I didn't understand the shoes. Now I understand them. Oh boy!

    :)
