If you’d like to include the entire guest list in your ceremony you can have a Ring Warming.  The wedding bands are passed from guest to guest and everyone can say a small, silent prayer for your happiness and marriage before you begin your vows.  This is a way guests can show their support.

For the reception – I did not have any dancing at my reception either  My wedding was held in the afternoon and we did not hire a band.  The guests spent the time catching up with each other and meeting the people from the “other side.”  We had plenty of food, including fruit and desserts on a buffet so everyone would feel free to help themselves to more “munchies.”  DH and I walked around and talked to everyone.  Since there wasn’t dancing it was pretty easy to make the rounds and speak with everyone.  We didn’t need to provide “entertainment” – the guests were able to entertain themselves.

Maybe show a slide-show at the reception that includes lots of pictures of your family and friends throughout the years?  Assuming most of your guests are also Christian, how about including communion in the ceremony?
