I think they are all great pics. I’m sure you know that. So pick the one you love. It doesn’t matter that they are not winter or Christmas pics.

@gardenroses:  You may want to ask a mod to move this to a different Board.

Flag it (you should be able to do that from your original post) and ask them to move it to the appropriate board.

I like the “non-bridal” pictures for the Cmas card. πŸ™‚

I like the last one because of the composition – since the two of you are off to the side, you have a great opportunity to put text over a full bleed photo (which I really like).

    Like these:

I also like the wedding pictures – I think people would enjoy seeing them and this is the only year you could use them in a holiday card.

@gardenroses:  Gorgeous photos!!  Also, I am jealous you got so many of both of you facing the camera!

@gardenroses:  I think you should send photo 3 or 8, definitely a wedding one. It is your first Christmas as a married couple so capitalize upon that goodness and go for a wedding pic! You can always put a fun Christmassy border around it to add some festive fun to it and it’ll fit right into the season. πŸ™‚ Enjoy!

All of the photos are really great, I just want to say one thing about the wedding photo Christmas card….

I LOVE getting photos of my friends and family, we’re pretty scattered, so seeing each other is NOT an option, but the photos of my family on the fridge are a great way for my kids and husband to have at least some kind of connection with my family, which suffers from a terrible form of genetic wanderlust…

ANYWAY, onto the point.  When someone sends me a photo of themselves, it goes on the fridge, I know what your thinking…what’s the problem??? The problem is, that it’s a freaking Christmas card, and probably red and green and says “Holiday”, or “Christmas”, or “Season’s Greetings on it…so in July, when that thing is still on my fridge, I look like an inexorably lazy person who can’t be bothered to put the Christmas shit away OR a Christmas obsessed psycho….

So as someone who loves to get photos, take into consideration that this may be the ONLY photo they have of you that’s recent and want to display it in their home…a more traditional card with a photo enclosed is greatly appreciated in our house.

    Thanks for listening!

I dont think Christmas and wedding.  I’d do a non wedding pic for Xmas card so I voted 1, or try to have a few new pics snapped for Xmas cards.

my Darling Husband and I took one look at our wedding photos and dismissed the idea of putting them on Christmas cards because we had a beach Destination Wedding and beach+Christmas+idea of snow+December just don’t mesh. We ended up using one of our engagement photos that were definitely more season appropriate, because they were taken the same season πŸ˜›

so my bias would be to use one of the engagement photos, but like PPs have said, this is the only year you get to use your wedding photos as Christmas cards.
