    Hi Ladies,

Do you think that sending personalized Christmas cards (think TinyPrints) from the "Future MarriedNames" is tacky or maybe bad luck?  Just wondering what your thoughts were!  I don't think I'd be brave enough to actually order them, but wanted to throw it out to the group!

    Thanks!

It's not something I would do, but I wouldn't call it tacky

If your wedding was January or February it might be OK but still a stretch. But it's almost half a year away! I would ex-nay on the Future " " bit.

Nothing wrong with sending it as John & Jane.

I don't think I'd do it. I'm not trying to be mean, but I think if I got a card like that, I'd roll my eyes a bit. I'd love to see the sentiment on a save-the-date, but my preference is to save the shared last name till after the wedding.

Nah, I wouldn't do it. It just seems like tempting fate.

Ours are going as "My Name & His Name" and the return address of "my last name/his last name". We've done that for 3 years in a row.

I'm actually really looking forward to "Mr and Mrs" next year...

I have a friend in the area who's wedding date is May 12th! :)  mine's the 19th!  I'm looking forward to us doing a letter this year and sending out our Save the Dates with it!

I wouldn't name it w/your new name though, just leave it with your name and his.  Next year you can put Mr & Mrs!

I sent out our STD's with our soon to be joint last name on them but I wouldn't send out christmas cards with our soon to be joint name on them. Thankfully my wedding is just before christmas :) I'm excited to send out our joint card this year.

Not tacky per se, but I wouldn't do it.

Just send them from "Your name" and "His name" (ex. John and Jane).

Haha, thanks ladies! I knew that this wasn't a god idea but just wanted to get everyone's input since, truth be told, I was tempted a *wee bit* :)

Go ahead and send them out but I would just use your first names and do not use the "future last name".

Save the future last name to next year when you have changed your name, just use your first names for now - people who you will be sending cards to will know who you are already? lol
