Do you think it would be a good idea to make our Christmas card do double duty as our save the dates? Do you think that they would get lost in the hustle and bustle of the season or that people would think that I am being cheap? I already do Christmas cards every year and this way I could do save the dates and not tap into THE BUDGET. (I call it THE BUDGET because the budget and I are enemies. We have a hate/hate relationship - I want things it cannot give me and it hates me for taking money out of it. And yes I know the budget is not a real life person but I feel like I am in constant battle with it. sigh.) Anyway, what do you bees think? Any inspirational wording ideas if you think this is a good idea?

Perfect!!! Love the idea! Thinking I should do that too! I don't think you really need to send the save the dates, so I don't think it's cheap if you send Christmas card Save the Date cards.

I don't think it's cheap, but I would hate for it to get lost and thrown out after the holidays. What if you sent your STDs a little before or a little after the holidays and nixed the X-mas card this year? We're sending our invitations out a little before the holidays and sending a Valentine's Card/letter instead of a Christmas card because of when our wedding falls. I hope that helps!

That is a good thought to send them a bit early so people will not have become inundated with cards yet. I always do the Christmas cards mostly because I love sending them! So the Cmas cards will happen but it is the STDs that I am not sure about just yet. I had thought about doing kind of like a newsletter type thing maybe. I was thinking I could put in my grad date, FI grad date, where we are both living currently, and then a don't forget about the wedding kinda thing at the end? I don't know I feel like I make it up as I go.
