So I ordered a package online about a week ago; the company used FedEx to ship it. Supposedly FedEx delivered the package to my front door this morning but I checked the front door, side door, bushes, and the mail box- nothing. We don’t live in an area with close neighbors so if the driver left the package with a “neighbor” I will be pissed- especially since it says it was delivered to my front door.
Honestly, I’m already kinda ticked, as that was meant to be a Christmas gift; luckily the recipient is very understanding and I already warned her it may be late (I ordered late). But I never thought I’d be dealing with a missing package. Late, ok, but missing?
Ugh, I’m just so frustrated bees and I can’t even call them tomorrow to ask where the he** my package is! I already emailed them, but I wish I could be doing something besides waiting on a reply….

My Christmas present from DH was lost by UPS. No idea where it is.
It must be a shock to the shipping system every year at Christmas.
I hope the package shows up soon!

Oooooo, that is frustrating, being Christmas Eve & all.
Hopefully, some nice Neighbour took it in for you… and will show up tomorrow with it safely tucked under their arm *fingers crossed*

I feel your pain. We had to have my mom’s gift resent when Purolater didn’t leave a delivery notice, and then when they didn’t actually try to deliver the second time AND didn’t leave a notice again (I was smart enough to utilize the online tracking for that one), FI and I had to take public transit to the other corner of the city in the middle of nowhere, in the freezing cold.

@Jess1483: Christmas is definitely one of the busiest times of year. My dad was a mail man and around Christmas he sometimes wouldn’t get home till after nine.
@This Time Round: I wish but we’re not close to our neighbors. With the neighborhood we live in it’s more likely someone kept it for themselves. :/
@pocketfox: That really sucks. I’m hoping if FedEx drops the ball on me (“Well we delivered it, not our problem.”) the original company might reimburse me but I don’t want to have to ask for that because this wasn’t their fault.

@pocketfox: if you live in a building or complex putolator has a policy to not leave delivery notices I’ve discovered – I’ve bitched them out for it more than once.
@ForeverBirds: that is really annoying. They did that to me once and I didn’t know my neighbours at all – I called and got pretty mad about it.

This is why it’s worth paying extra for signature delivery. I’ve had fedex take an expensive Amazon order to the entirely wrong house— wrong house number, wrong street– and leave it there, and I’ve gotten stuff for all sorts of random people from UPS and USPS. I just have stuff shipped to my work address where there’s always someone around to sign for it, and unless it’s something really cheap, I always get the signature delivery.

@MsGinkgo: And that’s why it’s my policy to not order from companies that use Purolator. I wouldn’t have minded if they had multiple locations like FedEx or Canada Post, as opposed to the one location at where it’s a PITA to get to.

@ForeverBirds: happened to me twice a month ago! It’ll show up next business day. I know it’ll be late, but what happens is, rhe driver wants to finish his shift, so they mark as delivered and then drop it off first thing next business day. So sorry that happened. I had to call a million people, but everything showed up.
if you have doubts, call the company on Thursday and they can give you more info, then call fed ex and let them know what happened. Sometimes things get lost, but in my experience they just show up late.
