YES!!! As someone who was a daycare worker while in college…YES!!! They are the caretakers of your children. Show them how much you appreciate them. THEY MAKE NO $. Barely above minimum wage.

I suggest a gift card. If you don’t know them to personally, a mall card or even a starbucks or DD card is good. Trust me, childcare workers need coffee in the morning 🙂

I worked in daycare in college as well.  It was always nice when the parents thought of us during the holidays.  I second gift cards, I always enjoyed getting those.  Parents usually spent $10…$20 max, which I thought was pretty generous.

As a former dc employee, I wanted to chime in.  Basically, if you can afford to, then I would.  They’re likely making super low wages (close to minimum) even though it probably seems like you pay the center a ton.  Gift cards to starbucks, DD are very appreciated, as was target, barnes and noble, etc.  We tended to get a lot of baked goods, which is nice, but gets hard when you recieve 25 plates of cookies at once.  Save that for an off month if you want to gift it.  Other good ideas if you like a tangible gift more: travel mug, tumbler with straw, water bottle, fuzzy socks, nice stationery, tea, etc.

Good luck!
