So.. the fiance and I keep going back and forth with what we want to do for our honeymoon... our biggest problem is that we aren't 100% sure of what kind of budget we will have so... I think we are going to just go on a mini-cruise after the wedding and save up for christmas in europe. I LOOOVE Christmas but we have never been to Europe... is that a good time to go?- I want to go for about 2 weeks and do atleast a little of Germany. Italy, and Greece. We should be able to rely on trains, taxis etc right? Because neither of us can drive in snow. haha. thanks for any input. I just want to do as much as we can while we are there. Our budget will be about $7-8,000.

I asked the same question about the winter season last week (we're thinking of going this Feb/March).   I only got a couple responses, but people seemed to think the winter was a decent time to go, and potential for big savings.

My grandma was born in Germany and her stories of christmas were just magical. Neither of us are too close with our families so we think going from christmas to new years would be AH-mazing! :) Let me know how it goes if you end up going!

That's a great idea!  There are tons of Christmas markets all over Europe, but the ones in Germany are just amazing. Public transportation should be no problem, especially in the bigger cities. Have fun!!

Just remember that all of us over here are travelling at Christmas too. Book train tickets well in advance to make sure you get the best prices (and a ticket). Also, two weeks isn't very long so you might want to consider flying between your countries.
