@menzies

That idea is too cute!!! These next two months are the absolute best. I am listening to Christmas music now 🙂 This time of the year just goes by too fast. I need to look into doing something crafty like that!

NO! Thanksgiving is a month away! Holidays should not roll each other over. Nothing about Christmas feels wonderful by December 25th, because I’ve been looking at it everywhere i turn for 60 days. Season extenders are ruining the special feeling if my holiday. Could you imagine wearing your gown for two months before the wedding?

@Bracelet I actually haven’t seen too much where I am, and it’s pretty surprising. But either way , I can’t get enough of Christmas!!

@chelseakayd:  Usually it starts with decorations on sale in November, then after Halloween, it’s no holds barred. It’s like someone dumped a holiday cheer truck on every public space. If you have to swiffer your tree, because it’s out so long that the ornaments get dusty, that’s a good sign that it was put out too early.

@menzies:  Even without. Two months is too much! December 25 is’t special if you’re just doing the same stuff and listening to the same stuff and looking at the same stuff you have for a sixth of the year!

@Bracelet00:  I feel you!  I wen tto Home Depot the other day and was assaulted by fake trees, ornaments, and lawn decor.  Halloween is already over in the stores, and Thanksgiving doesn’t exist!  It’s really sad, because I love Thanksgiving! I wish they’d hold off on Christmas stuff until at least the middle of November…

Yes, Christmas and its commercialization is ridiculous. It is forced down our throats so much and for so long that by the time is comes around, I’m relieved it’s OVER!

I’m kind of thinking the OP should have spelled her/his/its name “menses.” It’d make more sense given their pissy attitude.

@LilRhodyGem:  I actually find it outright delightful that she’s bringing such a sour attitude to a board about Christmas and how significant it is to her. I think what she meant to say is “I like Christmas themed decorations.”

@menzies:  I’m also excited for the HOLIDAY SEASON. There isn’t much decor to display for Thanksgiving so they go right to Christmas… no problem. If you have ever worked in retail then you know that it can take ages to set that space, too.

I love, love, love Thanksgiving but am still capable of being excited before then for Christmas!

Anywho, I’m already excited for Christmas because I finally get to see my little brother who has been deployed in Japan for over a year. He gets leave for a few weeks so YAY. 🙂
