Hmmm….maybe an extra stocking hung with a cute sign, baby’s first Christmas 2015 or something? Or give the grandparents baby Christmas pajamas to open as a gift? Or wear a “bun in the oven” apron while cooking and see if anyone catches on? These sound kinda lame the way I describe them, but maybe you can elaborate on the ideas better than me.

I think you should wait until you get pregnant to think about pregnancy announcements during a particular holiday. Pregnancy doesn’t always happen when people expect it to but I think a cute idea would be a treasure hunt. Gather all your family members depending on when you get pregnant either have it indoor or outdoors and have them do a treasure hunt. At the ending result you can wrap up an ultrasound in a picture frame that says coming in 2015 or 2016 depending on when you get pregnant.

winterwoodlandbride15:  I just bought a really cute ornament to announce to my MIL & FIL that we are expecting.

Its a round ornament with a red bow (you can pick a different color if you want), and it has white booties inside with a ribbon at the bottom of the ornament that says “Coming Soon July 2015”

I plan to tell my mom and sister on Christmas also by taking a picture with them and on the count of three annouce “Im pregnant” but my DH will actually be recording a video because I want to see their reaction bc I know my sister will scream lol

For our gender reveal last year we did it on Thanksgiving. What we did was we took a balloon that says its a boy on it and put that in a box. I than wrapped the box in Christmas wrapping paper. We took it to my fil house and had my fmil opened the box. We told them it was their early Christmas present. There was no way I could have waited until Christmas to announce it I was too excited. My fsil also did her pregnancy announcement on Thanksgiving as well. It was a great thanksgiving.

Maybe you could do something similiar. Instead of a balloon maybe do a gender neutral newborn onesies like the ones with built in mittens and add a picture of an ultrasound in the box.

We’re TTC and if we get pregnant this month or next, we will probably tell family by giving the grandparents-to-be a gift to open together that will indicate the news. Get it all on camera. 🙂

winterwoodlandbride15:  If you both get pregnant at around the same time. This would be a great gift for grandparents babies in matching outfits. This is a picture of my son and my niece. They are two months apart. Sorry just wanted to share. I love cute babies.

We just made Christmas cards of our honeymoon pictures and then it said

“love, Dan, Natalie and baby Johnson (March)”

we gave it to my family all their own separate cards and seen who seen it first it was my sister in law we also had it recorded, but haven’t looked at it since that day so it’s nice to have but at the same time I know it’s nothing my son will really want.

I like the bow idea! I’ll be announcing around Christmas so I’m loving the suggestions.
