LittleButtons:  I sort of start my shopping all year round.

This year- we’ve decided to not do gifts to for everyone and thier mom (two families with siblings/parents/etc…..)

I do shopping all year around because I like getting something for someone that is really “them”– and I might ind it in July or even February!  Otherwise I feel like I am forced to find a gift with time running out- and it’s not very personal.

I plan on having all of my shopping and wrapping done by November- we have a baby due in early January- which mean he could easily arrive by Christmas!

LittleButtons:  No. It’s October. Someone put Christmas lights up in my apartment complex yesterday and I almost flipped out, lol.

LittleButtons:  A bit, just cause I saw and bought a small gift- something my daughter wanted.  And I have some ideas for my DH.  I think I am going to do the 12 days of Christmas for him this year.  No additional ideas for my daughter or son, son-in-law or granddaughters yet.  :/

Haven’t started! I actually like to do my Christmas shopping in November/December when it’s snowy and everywhere is decorated and there’s Christmas music on. Sets the mood lol

I guess I have… A couple weeks ago, I found a sweater that I knew my sister would love and I just had to buy it. That’s all I have though.

I’ve started, but I’m far from done… I tend to go a little overboard when it comes to gift giving, lol.

That being said, I’m always open for suggestions… feel free to leave ideas, or list things you’ve gotten for others!

AdaLee:  That’s when I like to wrap!  I love to listen to Christmas music when I wrap the gifts.

LittleButtons:  I’m done too! I will add homemade chocolates to some gifts, but obviously that should wait, since they won’t really last 2+ months. FI and I are doing small gifts for each other since we’re buying a home and paying for a honeymoon and part if a wedding, so my biggest challenge is not splurging on him when I’d love to.

My list has FI, both sets of parents, and one sibling each. On his side the adults do a grab bag, so we buy just for his cousin’s 3 kids, and I am making something cross stitch for his grandparents. On my side we only have one aunt, one uncle, and one set of grandparents, so everyone exchanges even though we’re all adults. I will probably donate to the food pantry in memory of the grandparents that passed away this year. I also buy for the girl I used to nanny/jr bridesmaid, and I’ll get something small for my current charge too. We only exchange with a couple friends and neither office does gifts.

I haven’t started, but I won’t be buying for many people. Just both sets of our parents, FI’s sister, and our niece. The rest of my family and his no longer exchange gifts.

MrsEME: I’m the same way. If I find the perfect gift, I’ll buy, no matter what time of year. I wait for good sales, and it’s paid off sometimes. For example, last year I got FI’s goddaughter a LEGO set not knowing it was poised to be in demand at the holidays. I bought it for $25 on sale, and people were selling it on eBay for more than twice that in December!
