You know, since we live together, I almost imagined fitting myself into this oversized boot... I could be the stocking stuffer! Lol! No but really, he told me the ultimate Christmas present was if I were to stick one of those bows on me and say Merry Christmas, lol.

I love getting over the top boxers, like silky sparkly ones, or ones with goofy phrases :)
Let's see... a small bottle of whatever whisky/scotch he's been wanting to try, candy (he loves munching on it over long periods of time, haha), maybe a tie, sharpie pens (they're his fave), maybe a shaving brush, and then cool little stuff like new ear buds like the ones that squish, hehe, itunes gift card, and then whatever looks good when i'm roaming around at target.
We aren't doing stockings this year though :( but I'll probably be doing this same kind of stocking for the rest of his life... lol. he's so predictable.

I am trying to finish the stocking I have been cross stitching for about two years in time, but I think I am going to miss again. However, I always get my man the same stuff, and it WILL someday go in the stocking.

Seriously, I think that if I did not buy him the top three things, he would never replenish his stock. Ever. And every year he says, "Socks! I needed these! Thanks!" As if I didn't know that he needed socks.
I fill his stocking with lots and lots of chocolate. The dollar store is a great place to get all of his favorites. Sees candy also has some inexpensive candy bars that fit into his stocking. I also include a couple new toothbrushes and samples of tootpaste, lotion, hand sanitizer, and other stuff from Wal-mart. Wal-mart has a bunch of sample sized products over by where you get the toothpaste. I forget what aisle it is in, but everything is just the right size for stocking stuffers.
ya know, i LOVE stockings! we ALWAYS had them as kids...I mentioned that I wanted to make a stocking for him this year and he said he would not be doing that for me. :( (course he DID get me tix to the indianapolis symphony orchestra for tomorrow night that i found out about this morning! lol)...
anyways though - thanks for this post! I think I'm still gonna go ahead and get him a small stocking stuffed with goodies. :)
Lots and lots of chocolate. That's his favortite ;-)
Also....some headphones and a book
He really likes Key Lime pie, so when I stumbled across some Key Lime truffles I picked them up to put in his stocking.

This is the first year I get to put a stocking together for Mr. Doxie!
So far I have:
Cologne (Diesel's Fuel for Life)
A custom silver guitar pick from Etsy
Razor Blades
A small tin of assorted condoms (uhh, I saw them at Costco and thought he'd like them!)
Lemon Heads-- They're gross, but his favorite
Chocolate balls from See's
I might pick up a book to put in there, too... he's nearly through the set he's reading now.
This is our first year with stockings together and Ive only put one thing in it - a bottle of Chalua (or however you spell it, the spicy sauce). He loves it! Im gonna stop by the dollar zone at Target to get a couple more things and also put in Mac & Cheese (only the cheese packets from Kraft, he uses it on pizza, pasta, popcorn, etc) and some Twix's.
Thanks for all the great ideas! I'm heading to Walmart after work today to finish shopping for him, including his stocking gifts!
I'm really excited about some of the "joke" gifts I found - a shot glass made of candy cane, and bacon-flavored chapstick (his bacon obsession is a joke between us).
I am getting some Peppermint shampoo ( He used it at a hotel on a business trip and keeps talking about the way it made his head tingle), A new tube of Burts Bees Lip balm, some candy, a book - "what I love about you" and maybe a small framed photo of us.
I would love to put a small tool in there as he is into collecting tools these days - but not sure what I should get,
amcati - Hit up a hardware store and look around for nick nack stuff. There is tons to choose from, or just ask one of the guys who work there!
In his stocking is his favorite candy, some chapstick, boxers, an ornament for our first Christmas in our first house, a card with some sort of points he can use to buy stuff while playing his xBox and a card.
I'm stuffing it with:
A new headlamp (seriously, I do not know how we lived without these before. They are a must have for anyone who is outdoorsy or who does handy work around the house).
That new Scrabble card game
A couple of movies
And lots and lots of Reese's cups
- car wash certificates
- itunes gift card for his iphone
- his "special/expensive" shampoo that is like $12
- shaving balm
- socks, boxers and white tees
This is the first year we're really doing stockings too! I just bought him a bunch of candy (Christmas tree Peeps, Peanut M&Ms, gum, and candy coal haha). I might put some PJ pants I got him in there as well.
We're only doing a stocking this year because the wedding really strapped us, so I'm putting concert tickets, playing cards with a "pin-up" picture of me on them, salt, chocolate, and a christmas ornament with our names, a bride and groom, and our wedding date.
We're not doing stockings this year (we're spending a little more on presents) but in the past I've done:
Shaving cream, toothpaste, hand cream (he has really dry hands), a bookmark, an orange in the toe, a silicone basting brush (for BBQing), lottery tickets, combination shampoo/bodywash (for travelling), chocolate & blistex.
I think I also threw a cheap DVD and book in there in the past.
lol @ annie! I might try that over the top boxer thing! I got him massage lotions and a cute personlized picture mug of us and mousepad. I will fill it with his favorite candy as well.
In stockings we usually put things like gift-cards to someplace like GameStop or to his favorite restauraunt, and a movie or new game. Then the favorites: ChapStick, underwear, and socks! Oh yeah, and always some kind of candy that he can eat while opening gifts or waiting to eat breakfast.
My fi loves COFFEE! So, I got him a few mini bags of different coffee flavors. Also will fill it with candy, men's body wash.. I love the 99c store here for stocking stuffers, so much random stuff that is awesome for stockings!
