Hiya everyone!!
Is anyone down to do a Christmas Card/Holiday exchange? I would LOVE to start an exchange!! If anyone is interested they can pm me their names and addresses and we can pass it on from there, or I could designate one person.. .Or we could do a gift exchange (limiting the price to like 5-10 per person? We can also make it something small that fits in the new USPS flat rate box that ships for like 4.95 and up .. so let's say 5.00 for a gift (if we choose that option, and then we can do the 4.95 shipping option).... We can do it Secret Santa style.

I'm totally loving this idea, seriously where else can I vent my wedding frustrations without people rolling their eyes at me and sighing in that "here she goes again" way...

Well, I love this idea! But I am a poor bride (and a sick bride, at the moment) and can only do a card exchange. I'm in!
I would love to do it! Sort of sad that I'm more involved in weddingbee now that I'm married lol!
cool!! i think a card exchange is fine and we can go down on the price of the gifts as well... perhaps we should have two lists one as a gift exchange and the other as a card exchange? let me know what you think. i have already started a spreadsheet with the first person that signs up!
i so totally see most of you ladies as my close friends, y'all are so funny and you get my obsession with weddings!!

so far we have 4-5 brides in and everyone is okay with the card exchange so perhaps we can start it off there first? do you want to only send cards to one person or everyone on the list?
I would LOVE to, but unfortunately as an international bride, no one is going to be able to afford $5 shipping to me. rather, it doesn't exist. :(
e-gift certificates maybe?
@daydreamwanderer: yep that would be cool too!! i think it seems that a majority are okay with the card exchange, so i'm definitely okay with anything (including the online gift certificate as well)... perhaps we should do a card exchange starting out since this is our first go at this? i don't want to exclude anyone because of money (after all i'm the mocha frugalista, and that just doesn't sit well to me for anyone to be excluded!!) lol!!! so are card exchanges okay with everyone? if you haven't already sent me your info please do so and i will randomly select everyone and i guess i'll have to select my person as well, or maybe i will have m select who everyone goes with so i won't know either...
okay cards are definitely the route that we are going. can those of you that have sent me their info please send me email addresses as well so that i can notify of the person you'll be exchanging cards with?

okay we have totally decided to do a gift card exchange. i am going to cut the card exchange list off a week before thanksgiving just so we can get everything out and i can do the list, etc. if you are interested in the exchange and you haven't pm'd me, please go ahead and do so...
yay!! i'm so excited about this!!! next will be a birthday exchange depending on the success of the christmas card exchange.

i think we could do it for all as long as it doesn't get out of hand (like if there is 50 ppl... that is too many. 10 or 20 would be fine) :)

This is pretty cool!! I have no idea what I would send! I guess it would depend on if we're doing multiple people or just one!
If we keep it under 25 people, I'll send everyone a card.. if it gets more than that, then just one please.
@pmerr: we are just doing christmas cards! okay so if we keep it under 20 folks a card per person, over 20 one per person it seems is winning so far...

@daydreamwanderer- ha ha ha ha ha! I was at work when this happened! I haven't been super active on WB for a few days. With my parents being in town and the drama of the topic I started, I've been lying low hoping no one hated me!

here are the ladies that we have so far! if you're on the fence we've decided that it will be a card exchange, not a gift. we will send a card to each person on the list as long as there aren't more than 20, if there are more than 20, we'll send a card to one person, although we could send cards to five people each or something like that if we're more than 20 (wheels turning in brain) lol we have a month to decide.

yeah, please don't make me send cards to more than 20 people! international postage adds up quickly... :)
plus, 20 cards would take forEVER to make and write!
