They do make pettipant slips, sometimes called culotte slips.

I only wear dresses when I’m forced to but when I do, I normally wear a pair of spanx to suck it all in. I own a pair of the shorts kind and they really work wonders. If you don’t want to go that far, have you thought about bike shorts?

I always wear a pair of shorts. Like mesh shorts or bike shorts. It’s not necessarily for the chub rub; more because I’m uncomfy with not wearing anything but undies incase of wind or pervs with mirrors… but it’s all the same 🙂

This sounds weird, but apply antiperspirant to the inside of your thighs (if you’re not wearing tights/spanx). It keeps you from sweating and also reduces friction!

@bestbuddies: I actually wear spanx everyday so I don’t think they’re overly warm but someone who’s not used to them would probably find it uncomfortable.

Lanociane works great for the rub–it doesn’t soak in so it lasts for quite a while.

Monistat Chafing Powder Gel. Works wonders. Find it at walmart and target.

This is mostly why i so not wear dresses. But I second Catimarae suggestion of the spanx. I wore them under my wedding dress for this reason.

I do a combo of spanx, aquaphor lotion, and regular lotion.  I am now intrigued by the monistat chafing cream….  aquaphor can be oily, so you need to be careful with the material of the dress.  But somethimes for me a good run of lotion (or sunscreen to get me to wear it!) lubes me up enough for my walking commute!
